About Chi NeuroHealth
From the beginning of Chi Wellness Clinic in 2001, neurodegenrative conditions have been its main clinical focus. Based on his
observations and studies of blind massage (tuina) therapists in China since 1999, Dr. Chen developed a system of treatment, called Tensiology.
This therapy allows a practitioner to map out the tensions of soft-tissues through the body, to differentiate the tensions
of muscular origin versus of neurological origin, and to relax those tensions systematically and progressively. The Tensiolax Therapy
has been sucessfully applied to many patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson's Disease (PD). In 2003, Dr. Kent Logan,
a neurologist working at Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH, came to Chi Wellness Longwood Clinic. Dr. Logan had his initial
MS symptoms during his undergraduate study at Tufts University, and was experiencing progressively more severe spasticity and
motor coordination problems. Within months of Tensiolax and acupuncture treatment, Dr. Logan observed remarkable and sustainable improvement
of his gait and balance.
In order to benefit more MS patients, Dr. Kent Logan and Dr. Chong Chen founded an integrative neurology center in Manchester, NH in
September 2007. Chi NeuroHealth LLC specializes in treating neurodegenerative diseases and various neuromuscular conditions
with an innnovative combination of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western neurology.
After five year of successful operation, Chi NeuroHealth LLC between Drs. Logan and Chen ended in 2012.
Today our colloborative efforts in creating integrative care for patients continue at Dr. Logan's neurological practice in Exeter Hospital, NH
and at our Chi Wellness Clinic in Boston, Somerville and Waltham, MA.
